In 1990, Mike Vinson Automotive, Inc. was formed to provide honest, reliable automotive repair service in the Scottsdale area. The company was founded by Michael Vinson when his employment with Chevron ended after 17 years. He started working out of his home garage and quickly needed to acquire a multi-bay facility to accommodate his customers. With a rented three bay facility with minimal parking, Mike was able to build a business and customer base that kept him and three technicians quite busy.
By 1996, it was time to start some expansion and the company built a state of the art 5-bay facility with an office, a customer waiting room and plenty of parking!! We now employ four full time ASE certified technicians and a service manager. The mission of Mike Vinson Automotive, Inc. is to provide professional, honest, and affordable automotive repairs to our customers. Because our industry has been maligned in the past for deceitful practices, our standing record of honest service has made our work highly desirable. Because we do not overcharge or perform unnecessary repairs, we buld lasting relationships with our customers. The ability to provide automotive service and repair is not unique, but to do it correctly, fairly and in a comfortable atmosphere is what makes Mike Vinson Automotive, Inc. one of the best.
Mike is currently running the business with the help of his son and daughter-in-law, John & Amy Haas. Amy is the office manager/receptionist/check writer/bookkeeper/whatever-it-takes person. John is service manager and head customer service representative.
Judy (Mike's wife & co-owner) is "semi-retired", but providing daycare for John & Amy's two sons. We really like to keep it all in the family!! We are fortunate to be able to work and play together and enjoy it all. The dunes and golfing are family pasions which you'll see on the Family page along with other updates and photos.
